JOB SUMMARY

 

A prestigious food packaging and cup manufacturing company seeks to hire an experienced and highly qualified Cost and Budget Specialist who has a demonstrated background in a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field.  Candidates should have 2 years of experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis in food packaging manufacturing industry, including working with supply chain database and financial records, tracking inventories and expenses, analyzing variances, providing recommendations for cost control and budget optimization throughout food packaging manufacturing process, etc. and 2 years of cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience using NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Workday Adaptive Planning for purchasing, planning manufacturing procedure, building supply chain, scheduling, and managing production to execute in marketing and managing projects. Candidates will analyze blueprints and review material and labor requirements to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates, gather forecasting reports and develop detailed plan to forecast operational expenditures and costs, conduct financial analysis to gain essential business insights, and among others.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

To apply for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field;

  • 2 years of experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis in food packaging manufacturing industry, including working with supply chain database and financial records, tracking inventories and expenses, analyzing variances, providing recommendations for cost control and budget optimization throughout food packaging manufacturing process, etc.;

  • 2 years of cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience using NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Workday Adaptive Planning for purchasing, planning manufacturing procedure, building supply chain, scheduling, and managing production to execute in marketing and managing projects;

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and familiarity with compostable certification regulation and/or market trend in USA. e.g., BPI Certified, etc., as well as all manufacturing processes, including machine down time, raw materials structure and performance in food packaging industry (such as paper spec & fiber, polypropylene, etc.), fabrication, etc.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a keen eye for presentation design and the ability to distill complex concepts and analysis into clear, easy-to-understand presentations;

  • Strong technical and financial modeling skills and demonstrated experience with aptitude of learning new software and systems and providing the best / close report;

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional partners at all levels of an organization;

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and take initiative in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and ambitious environment;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation and review material and labor requirements to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates;

  • Gather forecasting reports based on historical number and information and develop detailed plan to forecast operational expenditures and costs for current or future products;

  • Conduct financial analysis to gain essential business insights, including competitor analysis, operational costs analysis on the manufacturing and finish goods, cost estimates for products in supply chain, etc., as well as prepare ROI reports for food packaging and machine investment;

  • Build financial modeling with different divisions and different business structures;

  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize procurement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory and play an active role in the pilot run for all new product productions and/or enhancements;

  • Collaborate with upper management, cross-functional teams and multiple departments, and provide comprehensive suggestions across diverse company divisions, including recommending the optimal specifications for better production output, minimizing sku for easier supply chain management, saving freight from changing packaging method, palliation, suggesting how to improve inventory turnover and make cashflow effectively, communicating with sales regarding to customers ordering pattern from different distribution center, etc.

  • Manipulate massive supply chain datasets and financial records using NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Workday Adaptive Planning to gain important business insights in the supply chain data;

  • Prepare estimates, cost and expenditure statements, aging report for seasonal products and marketing trend, and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project to aid management in making important business decision for purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, and selecting vendors or subcontractors;

  • Develop and maintain budgets for procurement activities, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives and targets;

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery, and communicate with vendors from overseas to ensure timely shipment of products/raw materials.

Annual Salary: $87,443.00
