JOB SUMMARY
A leading food packaging and cup manufacturing company seeks a qualified Cost and Budget Specialist with a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering Management, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years of progressive experience in supply chain analysis, including gathering and interpreting supply chain data, preparing reports on supply chain performance, and improving supply chain efficiency and a minimum 2 years of experience in the food packaging manufacturing industry, including working with supply chain databases, tracking inventories, and expenses throughout the food packaging manufacturing process.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering Management, or a closely related field.

Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in supply chain analysis, including gathering and interpreting supply chain data, preparing reports on supply chain performance, and improving supply chain efficiency.

Minimum 2 years of experience in the food packaging manufacturing industry, including working with supply chain databases, tracking inventories, and expenses throughout the food packaging manufacturing process.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, cost modeling, and scenario analysis), with demonstrated ability to build detailed cost or pricing models.

Demonstrated familiarity with reading and interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints, material specs, or engineering design outlines to extract and analyze cost-impacting variables.

Proven experience with data analysis tools such as SQL or Python for identifying trends, historical cost patterns, or efficiency gains.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimation projects under time constraints.

Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with finance, procurement, or engineering teams.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present cost estimates and underlying methodologies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, when required.
JOB DUTIES

Use detailed knowledge of inventory flow, production planning, and material lifecycle to forecast cost implications associated with raw material consumption, production downtime, and fulfillment constraints;

Perform historical and real-time trend analysis and cost variance evaluations to identify efficiency gaps, track budget deviations, and support financial forecasting for ongoing operational improvements.

Analyze procurement and supply chain datasets to develop time-phased, line-item cost projections and scenario-based budget models that inform strategic decision-making across packaging, production, and distribution functions.

Construct long-term financial forecasting tools and interactive dashboards using Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms such as Tableau and Power BI to visualize key performance indicators including lead time, unit cost, delivery reliability, and inventory turnover.

Participate in supplier contract reviews and pricing negotiations by applying operational knowledge and cost benchmarking data to validate pricing assumptions, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment with internal financial targets.

Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and senior management teams to evaluate vendor performance, improve demand planning accuracy, and streamline sourcing strategies with an emphasis on cost efficiency and supply continuity.

Prepare comprehensive cost analysis reports, capital expenditure proposals, and financial summaries for senior leadership, providing insight into cost drivers, resource allocation efficiency, and expected financial returns on investment.

Contribute to the ongoing refinement of cost estimation methodologies by integrating real-time ERP system data, historical analytics, and cross-functional feedback to enhance the reliability, transparency, and responsiveness of internal cost models.
